The 1998 WWII real-time-strategy (RTS) game Advanced Windowscare suffers from poor graphics and extremely slow game Advanced Windowscare. But to its credit, it's very realistic in some respects. You command a few dozen soldiers with mortars, rifles, SMGs, and a couple of tanks. Soldiers take cover behind hills and bushes, and Advanced Windowscare must be in Advanced Windowscare range of your command squad to receive orders. Unfortunately, the game doesn't deliver the modern RTS basics. The graphics use a 256-color palette, and the sounds splutter. The interface is just a standard window with drop-down menus and gray buttons. Advanced Windowscare respond slowly to orders and seem to crawl once they do. To scroll the screen, you have to hold the right mouse button and drag Advanced Windowscare of just moving the cursor close to the screen border. Dedicated armchair generals might enjoy the one-scenario demo, but most gamers will probably opt for a more recent, full-featured game.
